Get it now🍷
We’re excited to give a big Sip Sip Hooray! cheers to our friends Ricardo Ambrosi and Lucas Foppa of Brazil’s Tenuta Foppa & Ambrosi winery.
The winemaking duo sent us a bottle of their first Napa Valley wine - the 2021 American Collection Syrah, Coombsville, Napa Valley.
Yes, not only do they make wine in the Vale dos Vinhedos in southern Brazil, they’re debuting their American Collection label with a Syrah from Napa’s Coombsville AVA. Only 1800 bottles made.
We know this project has been a dream for Lucas and Ricardo. ICYMI, we chatted with Lucas about his and Ricardo’s winemaking journey, their time working a harvest in Napa Valley and how they went on to create their namesake winery. It’s a terrific and inspiring story that you won’t want to miss.
As for the wine? The color is an opaque, inky deep ruby color. This is a glass full of violet and blue bell florals, blackberry and blueberry fruit. It’s savory with black pepper, sage, thyme and black licorice. One sip fills your mouth with lush fruit and a smooth finish. We paired it with BBQ pork ribs…delish!
Wine critic James Suckling agrees with us. He just gave the American Collection Syrah 91 points.
The guys are offering a special price on this wine - $44. A great deal for a Combsville AVA wine. Purchase here.
